Ole Miss enters new sectionals

The IHSAA released Monday of new Sectional changes, some moving in, some moving out.

4A Football- Mississinewa will be moving out of Sectional 21 for class 4A football and now will be in Sectional 20. Sectional 20 is with Fort Wayne South, Fort Wayne, Marion, Jay County, Huntington North, Delta and New Haven.

3A Girls Basketball- Mississinewa will stay in the same Sectional and will be with Bellmont, Fort Wayne Luers, Heritage and Norwell.

3A Boys Basketball- Bishop Luers, Eastern and Oak Hill all move into Sectional 22 with that being said here is Sectional 22. Luers, Eastern, Mississinewa , Norwell, Bellmont, Heritage and Oak Hill.

3A Volleyball- Ole Miss has been moved out of Sectional 23 and now the Tribe is in Sectional 24 with Oak Hill, Maconaquah, Northwestern, Peru and Western.

2A Girls Soccer- Stays the same but Oak Hill moves in with Mississinewa, Northwestern, Peru and Western. 

2A Boys Soccer- Sectional 21 with, Eastern, Maconaquah, Northwestern, Peru, Tipton, Oak Hill and Western.

The IHSAA baseball and softball changes will be coming soon

A news release from the IHSAA executive committee saying

“Earlier today (April 29th), the IHSAA Executive Committee approved the sectional assignments in six team sports for the
next two school years. Following a minor adjustment made in boys soccer, the Executive Committee accepted the recommendations of
the respective realignment committees which determined the sectional groups for the 2019‐20 and 2020‐21
school years”.
