Tonight both the Baseball and Softball team will head down State Road 18 to Mier where they will reach Oak Hill High School. Tonight marks the 3rd conference game of the season for both teams.
Baseball comes into tonights contest with a perfect 2-0 record in the CIC Conference. It was last Wednesday April 26th when the Indians hosted Blackford. The Bruins shot out to an early lead of 3-0. In the meantime Senior Garrison Smith not only had a stellar performance on the mound, but he also had a stellar performance with his bat. Smith had a solo Homerun to make it 3-1 but then in his next at bat Smith had a 2 run Homerun that gave the Indians a so called “Walk off” win of 4-3. The Indians will travel to Oak Hill tonight for game 3 in the CIC Conference tonights action begins at 5pm.
Softball Comes into tonight’s contest with a 1-1 record in the conference. Last Wednesday the Lady Indians defeated Blackford 8-3. Tonight the Lady Indians will Send Junior Erika Foy to the mound. The Lady Indians struggled against Madison Grant in the first conference game, and then came back with hot bats against Blackford. Will the Lady Indians Carry the momentum into tonight’s game with the Golden Eagles? Only time will tell! Tonight’s Varsity action will get underway at 6:30 the Lady Indians are under the lights! The Junior Varsity contest begins at 5pm.
